Taking Flight

My name is Austin Tarrant, owner of Flying T Meats. In 2018, I left behind my successful aviation career with Tarrant Aviation in Fort Worth, to move back to my hometown of LaRue, Texas where I was born and raised to ensure that my children were raised similarly, in the country & around livestock. I’ve always loved being around cattle.


I was born and raised in LaRue, Texas. I left for a few years to pursue aviation and ended up back here – I can’t think of any place I’d rather be. Jenna’s family is all from Athens, Texas – she was raised spending lots of time here. Her parents moved her family back to Athens when she was in high school. We’ve been married for almost 7 years & have 3 small children. Bowen Paul is 5, Briggs Larue is 3, and Bennie Lynn is 1 year old.

Soaring With A New Dream

In 2021, I started processing and selling to friends & family and Flying T Meats has grown from there. We quickly learned there was a great want and need for good quality Texas beef and were eager to begin our next adventure in farming and meat processing!
